Heritage award for the Métis Lighthouse site (20 juin 2010)
The www.MetisLighthouse.ca Web site won the Canada Heritage award in the Mitis MRC in June 2010.
This Web project was produced by Alexander Reford and Paul Gendron, co-authors of the “Metis Lighthouse ” book and by Martin Bond, photographer and Web designer. The site was produced by Bcom for Heritage Lower Saint Lawrence. It allows to discover the lighthouse by way of a virtual tour consisting of several videos. An online petition is also under way to have the lighthouse declared a heritage place. The project is on the list for the regional final next September.
