360º/VR > Information

Since 2000, Bcom has been providing its customers with quality 360º images and breathtaking virtual reality experiences. We are constantly improving our technology, methods and processes to meet the evolving needs of our customers. That's why our range of services is among the most comprehensive on the market today!

Internet users adore interactive experiences, so impress them!

Stand out from the crowd by providing your visitors an exhilarating experience. Bcom is here to help you produce fascinating Web content that will entice Internet users to learn more about your company. We'll enrich your site with interactive 360º images and/or clips, as well as adding educational content (interpretive panels, compasses, narrated videos, etc.) or elements that will immerse your visitors right into the middle of the action (sound effects, animations, videos, etc.).

Our VR/360º projects are produced in high resolution using state-of-the-art equipment. But the unique ingredient is our passion: it drives us to produce captivating, polished images!

For example, as part of a project for Collège Esther-Blondin, we captured three on-stage performances and a shot of the school entrance, allowing us to observe the students at work. Internet users can play the video and explore the content in a non-linear way.

VR Headset

Most Internet users browse on a computer, tablet or smartphone. But in this day and age, the most engaging way to explore the Web with a VR headset (such as Meta's Quest or the Apple Vision Pro). The experience becomes much more gripping... but image quality plays a crucial role.

Whether you're offering an on-site VR experience, such as in a museum or exhibition, or you'd like to allow visitors to view your site in VR mode from home, we'd be delighted to work with you.

Many of our 360º images feature the VR icon so that they can be explored with a VR headset.

360º Video

When the action is happening on all sides, the 360º experience allows viewers to become immersed. When we design such videos, we adjust the image resolution and offer our customers different types of interaction. In addition to image quality and immersive experience, we like to ensure optimal interaction.

Image Quality and Superior Resolutions

Photography is our passion, and our images are the proof. Over the years, we've built up an excellent reputation with our diverse clientele, most notably because we master our state-of-the-art equipment and are passionate about our work. While the resolution of our images depends on the context in which they are taken and the broadcast objectives, most of our productions vary between 200 megapixels and one gigapixel.

Seamless Editing

What sets us apart from the competition is the care we take in post-production. Our various processing techniques allow us to produce seamless images. In this way, we prevent people or objects from becoming deformed as a result of poor editing. In the example below, 64,000 people were photographed in the Olympic Stadium with no visible distortion marks.

Optimizing Brightness Range (HDR)

Although today's digital cameras perform extremely well, they are unable to capture as many dynamic nuances as the human eye, especially when the image includes both lighter and darker areas. The human eye distinguishes between the interior of a room and the landscape outside a window in the same glance (even if the landscape is bathed in sunlight). In photography, you normally have to choose an exposure for one or the other. HDR processing gives you the best of both worlds.

When the image is more nuanced, advanced processing will produce a spectacular photo without exposing exactly where it has been optimized. For example, although the photo below shows little deviation, its processing makes it more pleasing to observe, as it reproduces what the human eye captures. Note the minute details inside the goalie's mask on the shelf, the lighting under the second shelf, the colour of the sweater, the texture of the paler wood at the very top. Subtle, but yet so pleasant, true?

Photography

As our passion for capturing images can take many forms, it's not unusual for traditional photography to be called upon when projects require it. Click here for some examples.
